Washington

The State, not the Capital

This page is going to give you a look of the state where I grew up. I'm sure if I mentioned Seattle to you, you'll imagine rain, coffee, and the Space Needle.

But there's more to the state then that! On the west side of the state, you have:

• Temperate rainforests
• Misty hills
• Huge lakes

Then you have the Cascade Mountains, which split the state almost perfectly down the middle. In these mountains, you'll find:

• Ski slopes
• Hiking spots
• A little Bavarian-themed village called Leavenworth

With all the rain we get, you might be surprised by the amount of snow and ice we get on the east side of the state.

The east side of Washington is a stark difference from the west. Over there, we have:

• Rolling hills
• Grasslands
• Smaller rivers

Of course, we can't forget about the most elusive famous creature in the Pacific Northwest: Bigfoot!

Welcome to my home state! If you can handle a bit of rain, it's worth a visit!
