Nellie was the first cat that my husband and I adopted together. She is a 5 year old long-haired tortoiseshell. She is named after the main character of Shirley Jackson's 1959 horror novel "The Haunting of Hill House."
Sammy was adopted about a year after we adopted Nellie. He is a 4 year old grey and white tuxedo. He has a limp in his front left leg, but that does not stop him from zooming all over the house!
